Default OT: Gas Prices..

You might remember when this accident happened...8 years ago this March.

This Southwest Airlines flight from Vegas overshot the runway at Burbank.

The plane smashed past the airport fence, careened across the street and
ended up with a collapsed landing gear, right next to a gas station.

But that's not the amazing part...look at the picture below!!!

LOL!

I've found that I can save gas by shutting down the engine and coasting on downhill slopes... I recently averaged over 140 miles per gallon

Great pic. I've been saving tons on gas too. I don't drive my BMW any longer unless I have to haul my family around, which is rare. I only drive my econobox now, my little, tiny, 6 cylinder.

The 993.

It's a miniscule 2 seater, so it's gotta get great mileage, right?

Not to get too political, but wasn't one of the ideas behind invading a country with the 2nd biggest proven oil deposits on the planet, was that we'd ensure a steady supply of cheap oil?

Sure doesn't look like that plan came together.

I say lets relieve Hugo Chavez of all the oil in Venezuela and tell him it was a delayed reaction for insulting our President on his last visit here!

I'll be back there again soon, I'll see what I can do.

...on a selfish note, I won't have to buy gas for another eight or so months.

True, but our economy has not adjusted to the price here in the US.

1/2 trillion dollars = 438.6 gallans for every American. At 22mpg in my 993 = about one year of driving.

Hey USMC993, take the fight to them and kick butt. Semper Fi my man.
