I've been neglecting her...
Bit of rust under the front windshield, front door strap pillar gizmo tore loose and there's now a hairline crack in the pillar, running on 5 cylinders, battery's dead...I'm in trouble. Stereo was already shot and no air coming out of the windshield vent.
Everything is now put on hold 'till she's back in full working order. no more excuses !

I trust that to be a condition report on your old beater Volvo .... or Lada ...
Wait - I take the Lada comment back: they barely ran on 4 cyls when new ..... not a hope on 5

Fortunately, there was no malfeasance on anyone's part but my own.
Unfortunately, there is no difference whatsoever if there had been.
I've been on the lookout for a new DD for awile, and I finally found one. But then there was the Defender to put in good nick and selling it, and my mate has been building a Defender challenge appliance, and I've been helping him out. So she'd just been sitting outside as I don't have a garage or workshop, and the battery died. When I finally got to recharging the battery a few weeks back I noticed a really rough vibration, which I expect to be a bad spark plug or dud wire. The coils are OK. So again I had to leave her to her own devices for a few weeks.
I hop I can now get around to fixing her befor the holiday travels are upon me. I even sent back the registration because I've simply have had no time to drive her.
But I have vowed to restore her to full working order sparing no expense !
