All,
I am proud to announce (a bit late) that my first son was born on May 8! Ian Robert Esser was 7# 14 oz and 20 inches long.
The night/day of his birth was a lesson in what not to do. On the 7th, my wife informed me that she was to be induced on the 8th. So, I spent the day working hard in the office until about 7 pm so that my projects would be wrapped up for the next couple of weeks until I came back.
Then I went home and the air was crackling with anticipation and excitement. We finished dinner and just about started packing when HER WATER BROKE. My baby was coming on his schedule! Well, we finished packing at around 10 pm and headed to my office to pick up a piece of paper that I left there. Then we went to her office to finish up her maternity leave request paperwork.
We finally reached the hospital around 2 in the morning. They checked us in and we were settled around 3. By 4, her contractions started and she demanded an epidural. Why would anyone not want an epi. There is pain and there is pain relief. Embrace technology!
Anyway, about 9:30 or so, the physician said that she was fully dialated and it was time to start pushing. So, three hours later, she is about to quit and the head is just starting to show. I told her she couldn't stop now and with a mighty effort, this:

Congrats Bob. My first child was born on March 14th and it is quite the ride! I will say that I find myself standing over her crib at night in awe the same way I used to stand outside my garage door admiring my 993!

It's about time Bob! I'd thought you would never post your first-born experience. Good-looking boy. Super Congrats again.

Thanks All.
Hey 95 C4 993: What child seat is that?
Has anyone gotten a rear facing infant seat in the back of a 993? If so, what brand?
Thanks again,
Bob
