Euro parts ordered. I didn't want a racer look for this car, so I just ordered the standard fare Euro bumpers. As a nod to performance, I did add an RS strut brace to my order.
I'll probably do exhaust now, too as the tips are getting replaced. I have done a lot of research on that and like the weight loss that comes with RSRs, but I think LPMM is the sound I want.
Also getting a battery. Guess I will do an Odyssey 925 for that. Saves a few pounds and should have reserve - street car with factory HiFi amp and A/C.
Any thoughts on my path? (i.e. Spend my money!)

how old is your suspension; might be perfect time for a refresh ??
what about an aux oil cooler for those Alabama summers ?? oil cooler relays ??
think about a trickle charger for the Odyssey (i've had VERY poor luck with the cigg type and have been usung the battery terminal bolt on type without issue; many listers have no problem with the cigg trickle charger)
hood shocks

I am doing the suspen sion very soon if not now. I think I am just going Bilstein HD and H&R. PSS10 is the other option. I don't think this car will ever be a track rat.
I don't know if I need aux oil cooler or not. And don't know any details about adding one.
I hope the freakin batt doesn't need a charger. I'll watch it.
Hood shocks have been replaced.
I know about the batt mount kit - was going to look for a less expensive option.

Did you end up having the front clip checked re. alignment?

Bart, sorry to hear about the car. At least you wern't hurt and you didn't hit anything (like a wall!). Thanks for the tip on the stereo. Hope you get the car back up and running quickly.

I guess all those claims about how much better 4WD performs in rain may be a bit premature. I have to conclude that tire condition was the major reason for the hydroplaning,--and TP.
There is a significant amount of damage there. While things look reasonable from the TOP much is screwed up underneath. It's going to take several thousand dollars to sort out.

Bart, sorry to hear and best wishes on the repairs. The AWD system in these cars is actually quite exceptional and works better as you pick up speed but if your tires are warn to the bars and you're doing 70 in the rain...
The only thing holding down your 3,000lb, 285HP brick of metal to the road as you travel at 70k mi/h is a 6" patch of rubber on the four corners of your car. Do yourself and your family a favor and pick up some new tires.

My faith in Porsche AWD isn't too good still. I assure you my 968 would not have done this. Suspension is also a little loose on my car. Mr. Weiner is taking care of that for me, though.
