Talking What the... Holy... It can't be... How much... Just wow...

Yes, Truspeed posted a bunch of their amazing, flawless, low mile 993s in the classifieds.

All I can say is I'm saving their ads to show my insurance company if my car is ever totaled.

What do you know about what they want for some of these cars? That 97 Turbo S coupe built especially for Seinfeld with 8,000 miles on it must be pricey!

If you search Autotrader, you can cross reference some of the cars at Truspeed. Not cheap, but they appear to be very well kept cars.

X- Post from another thread:

Obviously the market is strong for the 993 (and seems to be getting even stronger).

Sellers wouldn't be asking these prices if they weren't selling the cars. Basic economic principles dictate that if cars are NOT selling, asking prices would go down (see 996 pricing). Afterall, they do want to sell these cars, and the well known 993 dealers seem to move most of their inventory pretty quickly.

Hence, the demand for 993's must be outstripping the supply. So, places like Truspeed, Holt, RPM (and even private sellers) are pricing to the market.

Maybe the low value of the dollar ? There is a recent post on this forum about U.S. 993s going to Germany.

The prices listed by Truspeed as asking prices seem reasonable for clean, no paint cars given what is going on in the market.

This is very true... I've spoken with Rob Morgan (Truspeed owner) several times, and he has indicated that the market in Germany for low-mile 993s is very good. Based on the strength of the euro vs. US dollar, dealers there can pay top dollar for high end cars here in the US, ship them "home", and still make a nice profit. Kind of sad actually.
