The listed weight for the subject wheels, from the spread sheet posted on the "Coolest Wheels" thread is
8x18 et50: 9.4Kg or 20.6lbs
10.5x18et60: 10.3kg or 22.66lbs
Recently there was a comment that the Techart Formula wheels are heavy.
MY02 5 spokes are listed as:
8x18et50: 9.32kgs or 20.5lbs
10x18et65: 10.4kgs or 22.7lbs
Are the listed weights for the TA Formulas correct? or are they heavier?
as you can see, if they are right, they are about the same weight as the Carrera Lightweights.

I think low 20's is pretty good for a 18inch rim and I think the TECHHART rims are forged no? If your looking for below 20lbs your getting into the race stuff.... I think the 18" BBS mag centered rims are 17-19 lbs.
I have a cast 18inch twist and I think it weights low 30's lbs.
I have 1 techart rim + 1 cast twist in the garage if you want a exact weight I can check.

I still haven't been able to figure out why.
Maybe a good first question would be: when was the last time Porsche offered a light, strong, forged OE wheel? If they don't care, maybe their owners shouldn't care either.

Only in the Porsche world. For some reason, Porsche owners tolerate much heavier wheels than enthusiasts of other exalted marques such as Honda, Subaru and Nissan.
I still haven't been able to figure out why.

I could be wrong but I dont think to many hondas run 8 or 11 inch wide rims... thats gotta be a few lbs right there.
What are some weights for the honda stuff? maybe I should buy some hub adapters

But for the purpose of direct comparison, look at the fairly common 18x8 (or 8.5) size. There are many others, of course.
