A simple idle adjustment cured 90% of my stalling problem. My car still idles around 800, so I believe a slight bump higher will fix the remaining issue. My car stalls (and very infrequently at that) if I'm making a turn with my a/c and radio on and I lazily push in the clutch to downshift. I've become a pro at the 'on the fly while you're still coasting' restart. It sometimes gets a little scary if I make an aggressive turn, downshift and then stall. The power steering locks up and it feels like I can easily slide into another car stopped at the intersection.

+1

Whats weird is when mine stalls, in basically the same format as your describing, I will get a back to back stall from time to time. It will stall, I will start it up (sometimes coasting, sometimes at a stop) and it will stall immediately. However, I have never had a back to back to back stall.

Even when starting, after sitting for a day, the RPMs will dip, go up, dip, go up, dip go up for about 10 seconds and the idle will level out. Since day one with the LWF, thats how it starts when its "cold".

Yep, might have to tweek my idle a little more..think Im at 750rpm.

When I first picked up my car after the LWF install, it stalled constantly. That was Dec 2003 and I was pissed and neverous. Then all I could think about was "is it going to stall?" That went through my mind constantly. My shop tweeked with the lights and AC on because its obvious that power is consumed with those 2 things. It took 4 trips back to the shop and thats where Im at today---the occasional stall.

I like the performance of the LWF and I have just learned to deal with that occasional stall.

Mine stalls sometimes on the street, but it's no big deal. On the track, never.

I may have the LWF in mine, as it asts as described above. I'll check my paperwork. I have had it stall for no apparent reson when coasting 2 or 3 times and think I have died at start, I figured just from me being careless. It has done the idle fluctuation, as well.

I would have to agree that if anyone has a 95 for track use only, it would probably never stall.

So track use only wouldnt apply to this poll.

Uh.........mine does. Sometimes you're just running over to the gas pumps, or to go down to the hose and wash the car after sitting 3 months. And it stalls. Like last Thursday.

For those of you having stalling troubles, try to learn to push in the clutch at the last possible moment, in other words, as close to idle RPM as possible. This helps!

I dunno Mark, at Summit I've seen you stall a few times pulling up to the red light at T3. That's a notorious spot for stalling. I think they shortened the yellow on that light so that people would have to slam on the brakes and throw it in neutral. Bastards.

Hey, Noah,

Oh, I forgot that I often stall at the pedestrian crosswalk at T9 and the parking lot entrance at T1.

Seriously, what red light at T3??? You are joking . . . right?
