Default Sun roof problems

I had a grinding noise when closing the sun roof. I had to help close it by hand today.
Where is the motor and moving parts.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

There is a zippered access at the rear of the headliner - take a gander in there.

Thanks, I did that and that gives you access to the rear upper brake light mounting screws.

Default Cable Repair

Probably dirty cables and guides. You should take out the cables and clean them and the rails they ride on. Otherwise they will break. If one of the cables breaks, it's a simple repair. The following link should be helpful:

Since you got your problem solved, I have a possibly related problem.

My sunroof, more often than not, has trouble during that final bit of closing where it 'folds flush" with the roof. It rolls close nice and strong, with no noise or anything, but for some reason, during that final 1% where it need to fold up flush to the roof, it gives up. If I work at it a little bit, it will finally close though. Its so annoying!

Un-zip the zipper and remove the center panel on the roof and make sure the 2 screws are tight.
