N/A means not-applicable to your car
INC means Incomplete - or NOT Ready

Thanks in advance for your help
OK = Passed test(s) and is 'SET'
INC = Didn't pass all test(s) (yet) and is NOT SET (i.e. tests were INConclusive)
N/A = Not Applicable to your car

The ones that take a while to 'set' are the catalytic converter and cat-related codes, so those, in all probability are showing INC. Just drive your car and they will, eventually, go to 'SET', although they may take their sweet time.

When you have the "I/M Readiness" showing "All on-board tests are complete" then ALL of the 'Readiness Codes' are SET and you are good to go.

If you ALSO have NO CEL (check engine light) and no 'pending codes' stored either, then your car is, unequivocally, 'up to snuff' inasfar as your local state is concerned for 'inspection purposes'.

To prevent your readiness codes from going ka-plonk in the future - either put your battery on 'trickle charge' during the winter / 'off season' or *don't* select 'Clear Codes' on your scanner.

I don't know about your reader but my reader is a fairly basic one and it will tell me which specific readiness sensors are set. On mine they are little black ***** on the upper edge of the display with 2 letter codes inside and I use the code reader's manual to tell me what sensor that represents. Does your reader have the same thing? I hate to say it but have you read the scanner's manual?

Thanks to the previous posters in this thread I got a Actron P9180 today to diagnose an issue with a family member's car (non-P car). The unit is easy to use and it is nice to be able to print the test results and codes on my PC to hand to the mechanic.

I just want a cheap one that reads and resets my 95s codes (and my 968).
