Had my front end re-sprayed. VERY happy with the results!
I've been waiting to do this ever since I bought the car back in January.
The entire front end, including the bumber, fenders and hood was completely covered in rock chips. The silver color hides them pretty well and they were not visible at all in photos and from more than two feet away.
But everytime I would wash the car, I made notice how bad it was.
Well, I finally decided to take care of it and dropped the car off to a friends bodyshop two weeks ago.
I just got back from Europe from a two week business trip anc picked up the car last night at 10:30pm. I call that service to be able to pick up the car on Friday night that late.
My friend did top notch work and you cannot tell at all that front has been re-sprayed. He was able to do a 100% match on the color with the rest of the car.
He also aligned the MaShaw GT2 splitters with the bumber (they were quite off earlier). The fitment is still not 100% but as good as it gets with the replica stuff.
The re-spray included:
* Full re-spray of front both fenders
* Full re-spray of bumber and brake ducts, grille etc.
* Sanding of hood down to primer (it was so bad) and new coat
* Clear coat for all sprayed parts.
All this for $1,300!
It looks great now and I will definately need to protect the front with clear bra before the next track outing.
Next on the list is replacing the factory stone guards on the rear quarter panels and maybe some (RS?) side skirts. I LOVE THIS CAR!!

Juha,
Your car is my second favorite. You just convinced me to remove those ugly black warts or what they call bumperettes. Damn, that looks sweet. Get that clear bra installed ASAP! You will be disapointed if you wait and install it on top of the smallest of chips. Great job! When are you adding the TT kit?

wow, very nice.
I gotta say, after just looking at the pics in the "I got screwed thread" these of your beauty were very soothing... I feel much better now thanks!
BTW, which ducts are those? Not better bodies, right?

Juha, I was blown away..... dang, after seeing your results, I want to get mine done too. For $1300, that sounds like a great deal. But then again, everything seems to be more expensive here in California.....
