Default WTB 996 "thicker" CPZ 3-spoke steering wheel?

I would like to upgrade my 993 steering wheel to the OEM 996 "thicker" CPZ steering wheel. I want to buy a new one. I also want to purchase the all leather airbag w/ silver crest option.

Other than Carnewal/Gert (ouch on the exchange rate right now) does anyone know where I can buy this? Part numbers? Thanks!

Airbag w/silver crest pn = 996 803 980 03 8YR
price from Sunset was 467 +shipping in August of 2007.

If you want a new SW it can also be found at Sunset. No idea on pricing or part #s, sorry.

Like cytefx said, Dave at MS Road and Race has a load of NOS parts but goes theough them pretty fast. Best bet is to call him. Good guy to work with (no affiliation)

Not the same wheel that is being requested.

JT, I have worked with Dave Buhan at MS Road Race and he is very good. I bought the 996 shifter on my former 993 cab from him.

Email me if you want his contact info, I have his email and phone.

When you track down Dave, or a CPZ wheel, tell then you want two. I'll take the other one. Black CPZ wheel with a silver crest will be just fine.

This one?

Suncoast has it for $895, they'll usually give you a PCA discount if you call.

So I just installed this CPZ wheel, and it's not as dark as the rest of my black interior. It's like my existing interior is indeed black, but the wheel and airbag are charcoal. Has anyone else noticed this?

Matt, when I called to order, they warned me about this... so I held off. I am actually now considering going a more custom route to have my 4-spoke padded a little thicker and covered in OEM-match dye black leather. I think that this will produce the fatter/thicker feel I am after, but stay period/factory correct. Sorry, I should have posted this info when I found out... apologize for that.
