Default Looks Good After All These Years

I’m just about done with the spring cleaning of my 993 and I can tell you that the 10-year-old black paint looks much better than any car I currently own or have owned (VW, BMW Audi and MB). No blue tape or power tools necessary, just a little polishing/waxing by hand and, IMO the most important part, remove as many parts as you can.

1. Wash the car if it is needed (mine has not been washed in 5 years)
2. Clay all paint surfaces (Clay Magic works as good as anything and cost less)
3. 3M Imperial Hand Glaze (removes minor scratches)
4. Zymol HD Cleanse (not sure what it does but it smells good )
5. Zymol Carbon Wax (easy to use with no dust and okay for the rubber parts)
6. Leatherique the interior (including the vinyl)

A lift makes all this much easier. This was done in about 8 hours and all the wheels and under carriage were cleaned over the winter a little at a time and look new again.

If they ever get done with the road construction in Illinois, I might drive the car this year.

Richs' car looks phenomenal.

The snap on mid rise lift looks like it may need clayed, polished and waxed.

The winner??? Perhaps Andreas by a bit due to the lift not being polished.

I always get excited when Laurier comes out and posts... you can bet that shiny undercarriage bits will be available for viewing pleasure... not washing your car in 5 yrs isnt a big deal when you only drive it 5 times in that period

The king of the detailing sickness... we are absolutely, postively, not worthy...

Can we please see pics of your headlight buckets and rear taillight area, all with time and date stamped photos taken no later than tomorrow, of course, as proof that said areas are as pristine as Laurier's?

Hello Rich, if you have not washed your car in 5 years how do you clean it? wipe it down with damp rag or something?

So, your car sleeps in the house? If your wife sleeps in the garage, you're my new role model!
