Where to source alternator bearing, voltage regulator, brush pack?

IMHO, personally I did not venture in doing it myself and I purchased an exchange for X reasons.
When I got the core exchange I bought from bosch, I dismantled the alternator by curiosity and everything was new especially the axle. My axle tip was a bit tired (where the porsche tool goes in), so you get a new one instead. just look for the red bosch plastic seal on the exchange.
Also, the bearings are tiny, and with a puller, you have to be extreemly delicate to pull by the inner lip to get the bearings in & out.
For info, the part number to look for should be 6201 2RS . ( 2 Rubber Seals ) original is 6201 2RSR FWIW

Mark,
When you "wiggle" the alt. shaft should there be any play? I had the belts off to hunt down a noise. Turned out being the fan belt sensor - lubed it and all is good. When I did wiggle the alt shaft it had some play up and down and side to side. The play was very minimal but was perceptive. Pushing toward the alt and pulling out there was no play at all. Is that minimal amout of play normal? I've got 76,000 miles on an original alt. No issues with inadequate voltage and no other reason to think the alt is on its last leg.

To answer the original poster's question...WAI Global. I haven't had to deal with them, but I've used the info on their site countless times.
