Buy the car and drive the hell out of it..not to sound morbid but after attending a friends funeral today to put things in perspective...it's just a car..buy it, drive it, enjoy it....don't save the miles for the next owner...

Many of the toys that I enjoy will wear out. For example, bicycles, skis, running shoes, etc. And my motto is "If I wear out a bicycle <or insert other toy here> that sounds like a GOOD problem."

We know that it's much more of a psychological threshold than a real one, but unfortunately it's a big one in the marketplace. It's similar to a repaint, no matter what the reason. No single one of us makes these rules, they simply exist. Also, anyone who's financing any part of it is shut out, because most lenders have a 100K mile limit.
On the other hand, if you understand what it does to the valuation and can live with it, you should be able to extract some serious concessions from the seller due to the mileage.

My C2 1996 cab was in great shape - it was a one owner. I bought it with 103K miles from a dealer (lexus dealer) for $22K. I recovered the seats (bolster wear) from gahh (2K) and sold it a year later for $28K. Oh - I did have the top replaced as well (about 1100). It had 110K on it when sold. I sold it for $28K.

Mileage works out to about 22300 miles. Full history, no stories. Zennith and other stuff, sports seats etc.
Just curious. Cars are not selling here at all, especially high end cars.
I think it's the recession the media keep wanking on about.

I'll pay you $35K plus shipping today I wonder if they'd let you drive RHD over here....it would be kinda fun I think

Smiles and Miles to go!
I got mine used with 64K miles on it. The car was up to date on services all done at Champion Porsche in FL. The owner was a factory trained Porsche mechanic who bought it with 38K miles from the original owner who bought the car at that dealership.
I have maintained it at my local Porsche dealer and have driven it (90% highway) to over 90K miles now. This car is all sorted out and drives better than when I got it.
I would reconsider any well kept (Enthusiast owned 993) after looking at the entire picture. Less miles is not always better than more miles IMHO.
My .02 cents.
