From what I have heard, there weren"t any factory Wide Bodied Cabs ever produced by Porsche.Beverly Hills Porsche ordered, I believe 5 factory C2S's and converted them to Cabs
I am not positive on this, maybe they just converted 5 Cabs to Wide Bodies.Jim knows the whole story because he had one of these Wide Bodied Cabs. They were converted before they ever left the dealership new

From what Jim Newman says it was New Cabs converted to Wide Bodies
In 1998, Beverly Hill Porsche had 5 993 Cabriolets delivered and the dealership converted these 5 into wide bodies. These cars were sold as the only 5 C2S cabs every delivered in the USA

Hi Guys -
Been lurking around on this forum as I scan for a C2/C4 Cab in the market. I am talking to the dealership about this car and they dont have much in terms of the body conversion 'history' and neither is carfax helpful.
Hoping that Jim or any of the other members that have come across one of these could comment on the car, especially around the reliability/craftmanship of the body conversion. Thats the only bit I am a bit skeptical about....
thanks in advance!
