Default 95 GR 993 for sale...

For Sale 1995 Porsche 93 C2 Guards Red / Black Asking $28,900.

Odometer: 61,XXX miles. Option codes: CO2 XD4 331 437 454 650 I can send better picures later if you pm me.

FEATURES: working Sunroof, A/C, Cruise Control, Power Locks, Power Steering, NO alarm nor immobilizer!, No remote entry, Power Windows, Rear Defrost, Tinted Glass, 18 inch Turbo Twist Wheels, one front tire has a small bubble in the side wall and all four Pirelli P-Zero tires have about 90% tread left and the rims are true and in mostly good-to-great condition (one rear rim is Brand New). Factory lug nuts are about 60% paint remaining. Compressor, unused spare, Jack and Tools & factory locking lug nut socket.

The car is all stock and will come with stock tips & mufflers (my avatar depicts it with the big tips and LPMM mufflers) I have to say though, the LPMM's sound phenomenal. I could almost keep the car for the sound!

Paint is about 7.5 out of 10. Front hood has a couple very small dents and there is a very tiny ding on the front right fender just behind the headlight and one tiny ding on the right rear fender - these are very tiny marks. Last year, the PO indicated that it had some minor body repairs done due to a tree limb falling on it over a year ago, so it has had some paint work. A crappy repair was done to the driver door stop. It is a great daily driver - however, I am really not driving it at all. I keep gravitating to my SUV to drive to work and my wife and her Aussie take it to the DQ about once a month on a Sunday afternoon and that's it.:^(

Interior is a 9 out of 10 - just normal wear from a 60K mile car - it looks and smells perfect. Has brand new CDA-9885 CD player and remote.

Car has brand new fuel filter, air filter, pollen filters, hood struts, belt tension sensor, fan belt pulley upgrade (not the single pulley), both new fan belts, new a/c belt, ISV freshly cleaned, brake systems flushed with Castrol, chain housing bolt grommets replaced, ALL 12 spark plugs, brand new distributor caps and rotors, new O2 sensor, new front oil cooler ballast, new front oil cooler temp sensor. Rear spoiler bearing is ok and the spoiler fence is perfect. New clutch a couple years ago (I have receipts somewhere). Clutch pedal is smooth and easy. I changed the oil last Fall to Mobile ONE, 0/40W and changed both filters while at it. I probably have replaced some other stuff but can't recall by looking at the car.

Needs: New shocks, a/c recharged (I did not use it all Winter and it does not blow cold now), front oil cooler blower does not operate automatically - it will run on High if you pull the temp sensor plug however. I have troubleshot the system per P-car.com, but I think it might be the environment control panel???

The car has Very strong power and runs great - no smoke, no weird noises. Everything works, except as noted. No rush to sell at all.

This is a nice car.

You are welcome to come and look at it!

Good question - Don't know yet. Thanks! This car has a lot of get up and go as it is. 993 Turbo is probably well outside my price pain range. For an old-guy daily driver - maybe a 996

I thought you were considering a 3.2?

Good luck with the sale

Yes - as a matter of fact I am. However, the 996's are a bit more modern than the 3.2's and typically have more miles left. I am weighing my options to go either way - it will largely depend on the car. Sometimes a car will say "buy me" against even the strongest rational reasons not to do so. Frankly, to me, the 996 styling is somewhat bland compared to the 911's and most especially the 993.

If you are considering a 996 just keep the 993.

+1, but I realize too that sometimes you just have to make your own mistakes no matter what people tell you. JK

Look, I know people have to learn from their own mistakes... but I can't read this and not comment... Don't change the 993 for a 996... you are making a big mistake. Listen to what folks are saying...

Unless you are moving to a 996GT3, 996GT2, or 996TT I would strongly suggest you keep the 993...

There, I said it, now I can sleep better.

As a former (frustrated) water-cooled 911 owner, I could dispute this statement

Good luck with the sale. And to any lookers, Marlon is a stand-up guy.

Marlon, Trust us on this one! If you have to "Move Up" then spend some more $ and get a 997. you can get an non S for $50k. Like i said, I have had 2 996's. One of them was loaded with full aero, full carbon Fiber, 19" champion wheels and suspension. It just isnt the same in my opinion. Like I have said in other posts, they are like a 911 designer and an accord designer had a collousion!!!!

you could look at it this way Marlon....you like to tinker with things so get yourself a low mileage 996 Carrera and wait till the motor self destructs then you could do a motor rebuild

Motor rebuil my a@#$.... those are disposable engines... then he can buy a new one to install...

Seems he does not appreciate what he has... he will the minute he gets into a 996...
