Default e brake

Hi guys just put my car back on the road after a long winter she runs great. anyway i just changed the shifter and e brake looks nice but one problem the switch on the e brake is out of adjustment so my light on the dash won.t come on when lever is up so my top won,t work is there an easy way to adjust or bypass the switch.

Its not a difficult fix. I swapped my ebake and shift **** shortly after getting my car and same thing happened to me. Just remove the cassette holder (or whatever you have in the spot behind the ebrake) and you will probably be able to see the problem. There is a little, bent, metal piece that acts as the contact when you have the ebrake raised. I had to re-tweak mine a little to make sure it stayed in place and made contact just when the ebrake was on/lifted.
