Are Sumitomo's available in NZ? Here in the U.S., those Conti Sports are $238 each, which is a lot.

The shipping would be too expensive in my experience. I just think it's a bit of a tuck when something is nearly 3 times the price. I know the USA has "a few" more people than us but that price is OTT.
Bought them now anyway so I will just pay up and shut up!
Having said that, I won't be using the same brand when they need replaceing.
Haven't seen Sumitomo's here yet. Might look into them. I think Yokohama's will be the go next time. Previously had them on the 930 and 965 and they lasted twice as long, if not longer.
Thanks

Just to compare prices I paid 350 U$S dollars in Argentina for each of my 255/40/17 Yokohama´s Advan Sport rear tires (and I am paying them in 12 monthly payments without additional interests)
I have been to NZ several times and really love your country

I buy tires from Tirerack and ship them to Thailand, 3 to 5 days, shipping around 70usd per tyre.
It works fine.....

I'm going to definatley look into that next time. As long as there are no import frees it might work.

Well I pay 30% import duty here in Thailand and the price still ends up alright. Specially considering that you have them in a few days.... Because if there is duty to pay, it is on your current tires also and already in the price....
Give it a go, email to tirerack and they will quote you all cost and detail... Good!
