Default Removing war marks from 3M Bra

My 993 has the 3m clear bra. It's doing it's job of protecting the paint, but it's accumulated a lot of black marks from flying rubber at the track. What do I use to clean it. Same question for the stick on flare guards in front of the rear wheels??

Thanks
Jeff

I would start with a liquid wax and microfiber towel.

Wash the car like normal, then use a clay bar on the 3m, it will be nasty. Then use a cleaner wax, or a light polish on it, & wax.

I found that the Honda Spray Cleaner & Polish product works amazingly well on rubber marks from the track on paint and film. Lifts them right off.

I just did this yesterday on my 3M clear bra. I used a citrus based cleaner called "De-solv-it" and I even tried one of the new Windex citrus based "green" cleaners and a microfiber towel. Both worked great. I think the key is the citrus oil and the microfiber towel. Let the cleaner sit on the mark for about 30 seconds to a minute and then wipe off with the towel. I had the rubbing alcohol bottle sitting on the garage floor, but never used it.

I was going to try the clay bar on my GTO's clear bra (daily driver). It looks somewhat water-spotted/cloudy. Any tricks I need to know?

Treat it just like the paint. Just be careful of the edge, the clay can get lodged in between it & the paint, it's a PITA to remove.

WD-40 works great. And it won't harm your finish.
