I didnt read the rest of the responses. Not sure if anyone already said this.. but my advice is have a machine shop tap you new threads(next size bigger) for the mounting side. and maybe a little rebore on the caliper side to take that new bolt size. If the threads are not severly damage(just cross threaded), the machine shop could just retap the threads for you.
Unless of course the you're just changing the wheel carrier, which is still the best route.

Had this happen on my race car and I did the timeserts at the track. Never had any issues with it after that and I paid special attention after/before/during every track event.
