Default New 993 Hood Crest..

Hi all, I put a brand new OEM hood crest on my 993 a couple of months ago. It is the gold one part number 993 559 211 00. Anyway, I just bought a silver one so Im offering the gold one to you guys. I cant remember what I paid for it but I think it was about $60. I am at work so I cant take a picture but it is OEM with the part number on the back and 100% perfect. I dont have the gasket or the nuts. I dont know what it is worth, maybe $50 shipped or I will trade it for The Essential Companion 993 book that everyone says is a must have. Thanks!

I just got this one. It's an OEM piece, really nice.

Guy said he had a few available. Took about 2 weeks for shipping.

$95 is a reasonable price. I've got a source for about that price also.
pm me if needed.

Anyone know of a source for standard size wheel center caps with the same silver crest?
I know of one place, but they want about $500 for 4....

I got mine from the same guy. So I guess no one wants a gold crest anymore. Looks like the garage fridge is getting a new emblem

I bought this one, but I am not sure if it is genuine Porsche. It has part #'s on the back, but they come back to a gold crest. How can I tell the difference??

I think that the ones with the 993 part number are actually stock gold ones that someone is getting aftermarket nickel plated. I dont think there was ever a silver 993 part numbered crest.

I don't remember where I heard it from, but someone told me that Porsche has never offered a silver crest badge for the hood. They said these sellers have the gold part replated.
I can't say for sure this is true, but that is what I heard somewhere.
