I've got wood!!! Our cars will soon be clones.... that tail is next on my list (likely in the Fall). BTW, does the MA Shaw piece replace the entire rear deck lid or does it bolt onto your existing one? Looks like your's is one piece.

Love the splitters. Did you buy them painted or just primed?

Did you reinforce the center section of the Gt2 splitter?
I didn't reinforce the center yet. I have some problems with the bumber being a bit crooked so I gotta take the car back to the shop later and leave it there for a longer period so they can take off everything and make it work.

Where did you source the ducts?

Do you shoot with a filter - your pics seem to look very vibrant & rich.

Andreas
The ducts were on the car when I bought it but I think they're from Mashaw.

And yes, I used a CPP filter when I took these shots. The light was very violent and as you can see, the results not that good with shadows and **** everywhere. I was in a rush and just wanted to get some pics before it was dark.

This is Wellington in Palm Beach County! A small idyllic equestrian village, I think some say this is the Polo mecca of the world.
And no, I do not own or have anything to do with horses (except for the ones residing under the RStail in my Porsche )

What can I say, there can never be too many beautiful 993's in this world! And your's is a beauty as it stands!

The Mashaw 3.8RS tail indeed replaces the entire lid but you need the hardware from your stock lid.

They come unfinished from Mashaw so be prepared to spend some $$$ on prep+primer before you can coat it.

I have received some inquiries regarding the RS tail and the splitters that were on my car previously; well, I've sold them to a fellow rennlister and they're on their way to PA at the moment...

You can buy an 3.8 RS wing insert piece to drop into your existing decklid. Mine is from Getty Design, which is supposedly the same company as MA Shaw. I read that here on Rennlist, so it must be true.

Look great! I love the wheels!

You got to be careful not to rip that splitter off, & I wonder what the MPG penalty is for that rear wing?

Very nice.
I am on a similar path, but will use RSCS wing instead.

I am not trying to be a jerk, but since i am on the same path i have a question.
Many of the conversions i see with GT2 / RSCS splitters seem to have a gap between the side splitters and the center bar which is pretty obvious in photo's taken from the front such as yours.
yours actually seems more centered and a better fit than most.

I was at MA Shaw yesterday and held the pieces in my hand.

oh yeah, the question.

Do you think that the the gap between the parts is;
1. a function of the part design / manufacture?
2. an assembly thing? you mentioned a bumper cover alignment issue?
3. or something else?

i'm just trying to sort it out before i go down the same path.

Thanks for the additional inspiration.

cheers

Craig

here is another example of the same / similar issue

Craig, I believe the gap is there also on the OEM GT2 front so it is supposed to be like that. I think any decent bodyshop can make it look nice and align the parts properly. In my case it was more of a lack of time and my unwilliness to take the bumber out right now. I will leave the car there later to do all this work.

Here are a couple more shot I took tonight:

Juha, your car is simply stunning. You're clearly having great fun putting her together. I'm jealous. Keep it up!

Looks nice. Although I'd like the aero when hitting 140+ on the track the desire to not draw attention is still stronger at this point. Anyway, they did a nice job with your car.
