Kinematic Clutch pedal lever upgrade question
Hope someone can help me out here - because sofar the Porsche dealership hasn't;
I have received a while back from Sunset Porsche the "Kinematic Clutch pedal lever upgrade" and I need someone to confirm that I have the right part here.
The Kinematic Clutch pedal lever has the old number stamped on the lever itself compared to the number on the sticker on the bag it came into.
The stamped number on the lever is 993 423 519 00
The number on the label on the bag is 993 423 519 03
Is it save to ignore this discrepancy.
I hate to go through the install to find out later there is no difference.

Looks like it may be wrong

According to the 993 factory shop manual, the solution to fix the clutch pedal not fully return problem is to replace the kinematic lever in the clutch assembly. The newest part number for the kinematic lever is 993.423.519.03, apparently Porsche had a total of 4 different updates for this lever. Defective part numbers are 993.423.519.00 or 993.423.519.01 (gold color). The improved parts are 993.423.519.02 or 03 (olive color)

The lever I have here is the black lever not the gold one.
Sunset did compare with another one they had in stock and had the same discrepancy. The parts guy did think that there was a slight modification made with the position of the teethed insert, Porsche used existing stock and made the required adjustment. This would explain the old stamped number on the lever and is repackaged with the 03 update.
In the end I'll probably go ahead and do the install.
Thanks

And plenty 1995 cars dont' have the problem. I compared the old & New parts back to back and couldnt' tell any difference whatsoever, so the change was pretty minor.
