993 Cab value opinions
I have a good friiend with a 993 Cab that has been in his garage driven less than 100 miles a year for the last 5 years. He bought it with 31000 miles on it. Car is as good as it can be. Ocean blue exterior, tan leather, 6 speed, Fikse wheels and fabspeed exhaust (adds 200 hp) otherwise bone stock. black top. What would be an average retail value? Located in Virginia Beach.
Thanks for the opinions!

So if I read it right your friend has a Cab with only 31500 miles on it - why did he buy it in the first place??.
Depending on the year and the condition I would estimate high 30's to high 40's. The year as well as the condition is key. You will see 97-98's in excellent condition listed for 50-55K. I don't know how long these sit and what they end up selling for but there are buyers out there with the dough if you are willing to wait. Sounds like your friend needs to take his car out for a bunch of spirited runs before he gives serious thought to selling.

By way of comparison, I paid $30k for my '95 C4 guards red cab a few months back. 36k miles and a few mods. It will need a top sometime in the next few years, but since I will rarely drive it w/ the top up, I'm not too worried about it right now.

Sorry. Forgot to include the year. 1997, no accidents, no paint work and the colors are unique.
The Fabspeed 200hp was a joke, (Hi Joe!!)
Seems like a straight up car but the tires should be replaced and he does not have the stock wheels.
I am not interested in the car. Owner is shopping the 997S new car market and wants to make room in the garage and replace the car he never drives.

My guess would be from a low of about $34k to about $40k depending on condition, options, top and condition, and did I mention condition? He may want to go ahead and put some nice tires on to remove that neg. from the negotiation. I would also consider getting a good indy mechanic to do a PPI so he knows what issues may be lurking. The blue/tan is a nice combo.
