Default DACH Sport Cat - What Mufflers is Everyone Using?

Well, the car is still for sale, but I am continuing to mod it to the very end

I am about to pull the trigger on some DACH sport cats to complement my LPMMs. I went with the LPMMs after spending several years with Supercups, which eventually wore me out.

What mufflers is everyone using with their DACH sport cats. I find my LPMMs a bit timid, but don't want the LPMM/DACH sport cats combo to be too loud, like the Supercups.

Thanks

Rob

I have the DACH X-pipe and Sport Cats w/ sport mufflers. Sound is just right. Don't want it any louder.

This is still my favorite sound clip of all and probably the MOST accurate I've heard on line!
It is the X-pipes with DACH R's so the cat pipes will be a little less noisy but the idea of the sound will be the same. Give it a listen and turn it up!

I have Chris' sport cats (I love them) with Motorsound mufflers...honestly, I'd like to get a bit more volume so not sure if I'll have them modified (LPMM), get a set of RSRs or perhaps a set of Dach R's. I want to retain my factory tips but hoping for a bit more sound.

Currently running the Dach X-pipe with LPMMs. The sound is nice, and the volume is great. I formerly ran the X-pipe with SuperCups, and the sound was bliss, whereas the volume was too loud. To hear the X-pipe w/SCs, watch the video I made here!

Ok, now I am confused. I thought the DACH x-pipe was a cat bypass and the DACH sport cat was just a more free-flowing cat, but still a cat. Am I right about this?

If so, then I was wondering about various mufflers with the DACH sport cat, not the x-pipe. If I am wrong, then I really need to start over again in my thinking and do a better job searching rennlist!

Yes, you are correct. The pipes life start the same they both start as the bypass X-pipe. The sport cat pipes are the X-pipes with the free flow 200 cell sport cat installed in them. The sound gets muffled by the cats which reduces the noise db output but not the sound. Its the alternative that keeps the sound and the "legal" aspect of running a sport system. If you want something with a bit of noise but still be able to listen to the radio or talk on the phone, or just get out of the car without a splitting head ache then the cat pipes with DACH R's or Rsr's would be the way. Anything else starts to get a droan inside.
