Does anyone know the difference in weight with the RSRs (Dach Rs) and Fabspeed Maxflos? Are the in the same range?

I don't know about the other 2, but I don't believe you buy a factory muffler and worry about weight in the same sentence especially when in our case your talking about being able to dial in the amount of noise you'd like when you order.

This is still my favorite sound clip of all and probably the MOST accurate I've heard on line!
It is the X-pipes with DACH R's so the cat pipes will be a little less noisy but the idea of the sound will be the same. Give it a listen and turn it up!
Chris,

I pm'ed David (Ritter) on the youtube clip you referenced above and he told me his set-up was the X-pipe without cats and 'sport" mufflers (gutted stockers). Seems like all the DACH x-pipe sound clips are the ones without the cats, that is a bypass pipe.

In any event, will call you today.

That is exactly the option I am considering - anyone using this set-up?

It seems most are using the DACH x-pipe bypass (no cats).

Rob..

Im running the Dach Sport 200cell cats and RSR mufflers. The sound, imo, is perfect. Not too loud or obnoxious but much more aggressive than stock. The pops and growl in 2nd gear traffic and whilst downshifting is awesome.

I ran the x-pipe (no cats) and had to swap them out...the brute sound was too much. With that said, the car felt lighter to me and seemed to have more snap.

Chris,

Right, I understand post #8, but just thought you were suggesting David (Ritter) had the x-pipe bypasses - my bad.

Keith's (Kdurg) post tells me everything I need to know.

What I was trying to get across was that the pipes on Ritter's car was the by -passes (no cats), but because they all start out life the same, the sound is similar with reduced noise levels because of the cats. You won't be disappointed........no one has yet

I have the dach x sport cats and RSR's from carnewal/robin, my car gets voted "best sound" wherever i go. check the current clip on www.club911thailand.net/home.html which was last weekend trackday. My 993 comes by in the middle of the clip. What can I say, I just love it, it's raw, throaty and no problem when driving/cruising. It's a scream when starting cold.

Glad you're enjoying them Henk. Are you planning on another dyno to see what the ECU has done?

Chris - for understanding and discussion purposes: can you install 200 cell cts in your X-pipe that was originally built sans cats???

Not with out it being a big PITA! Our jigs are set up just a wee bit different and won't accept the opposite type pipe. I'd have to build it on my car.......and you don't want to pay for that Why are you buying a used set?
