Default Request: Pics With Aftermarket 18" Wheels

I'm looking to get a new set of wheels for a 1997 Carrera 4S, but it has the factory aero kit so aesthetically it looks similar to a Turbo. I had been considering 19" wheels but based on pics I think they would be a little too big on the car. So now I'm considering a set of 18", but I'd like to see what's out there first and how they look on the 993. Please post any pictures you have, and preferably reverse-drop wheels only! Thanks!

Juha,

That is a hell of a nice ride!

JAdamz,

Here's mine with 19" HRE 545's. I don't think 19s are too big.

Nice pics guys, thanks. Keep them coming! I'm really having a tough time deciding on the size...

993c2cab, reverse drop are the wheels with the large, flat lip and don't have a "step" to them. The inner portion of the wheel spans almost all 18" (or whatever size the wheel is).

Juha, without a doubt one of the best pics I've ever seen here - and your ride with those wheels has made me an LM convert.

Man, that is low. I imagine there are no speed bumps in your life.

Thanks for the kind words Dave! I'm an amateur and rookie when it comes to photography but I'm trying hard to learn more about this art...

The car is very close to RS ride height. I have no problem with speed bumbs etc. My GT3 with track setup, was actually lower than the 993 is.

Wow, I have always been a fan of the LM's, and this just reinforces it. Very nice, Juha.

I was also thinking that the 18's would appear too small because of the stepped lip, but I stand corrected. Just a perfect size for the 993.
