Tire Rack. Damon helped me out. My first choice was the BBS RS-GT's but there is a long wait for them and they arent cheap. I have another P-car that I'm willing to spend the money for Speedlines, Fikse, HRE, etc. on but not this one. The Volks are a bit lighter (10%+ lighter) but not as pretty as the RS-GT's but if I was interested in pretty I'd have kept the Ruf wheels that I had. I liked the Porsche OE MY02 5 spokers too but for the money, quality and performance the Volks were hard to beat. The only prickly part about these wheels is that the center caps are an odd size and while I'm not a bling kind of guy I think it just needs a Porsche center cap.

The other issue is that the Volk offsets aren't quite ideal. Rears are 18"x10 ET60, so they'll stick out 5mm from the ideal 65mm. Not a problem for most, but if you're really low and looking to get fat tires in there, every little bit counts...

Here's what they propose for a 4S: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand
With the $/€ rate, it's really a bargain for us! I'll try to contact the customs tomorrow and see how much taxes I'll have to put on them...

Absolutely correct. Damon was very confident with 265's and my suspension setup which was fine by me, 285's would be on the tighter side. I have run 285's previously with the Ruf's and was always wanting for a little less grip in the rear and a bit more of a neutral car. The combination of the 265's and some adjustable sway bars should balance things to my liking. Nothwithstanding that, the 285's would most likely work as I had plenty of clearance before where I don't think less than a quarter of an inch would make a difference at my ride height (Bilstein HD's and H&R springs).

Sorry for not understanding, but why are you talking about 18"X10 ET 60? On the link I gave above, they talk about 18"X10.5 ET41 for a carrera 4S...
What am I missing?

Toga- 18"x10 ET60 are the TE37 narrow body rear offsets. You're correct, the widebody sizes are different.
I now see that tirerack jacked up BBS prices $500 last week . Ouch.
