Will not give 50HP, but at least some.
I have seen remaps on rolling road (with mod mufflers) giving 15-20HP on dyno.
Then, next question, what is the best weight reductions without "destroying" the car? Battery, seats, Mufflers?
In Sweden C2S are VERY expensive (approx 70+k$)

Hi,

You've received a good deal of wisdom and counsel here, albeit some of which was tongue-in-cheek,...

There are several ways to realize a 50 HP increase with a resultant bump in torque, but the first question I ask all my customers who ask about such things is: "What is your budget?".

The answer to that truly defines how you will proceed.

triple adjustable suspension
lowered car a few inches, a bit more actually
LWF
aerodynamics added

I can't believe this thread has gone 3 pages without mentioning Fabspeed products...he should be able to get at least 50hp by using their airbox, cat bypass pipes and mufflers.

Right????????????????????

Nope not even close.....but with mine the mufflers are not even there...weight reduction and throughput, what little there is.....

Extra 50hp...no problem...

1) Remove soundtray
2) Paint car black

Weight loss optional!

My quick calculations say that you would have to remove 450 - 500 pounds to get the same acceleration as you would by adding 50 hp. I don't think removing the carpet is going to help alot.

It's not too hard to get to the 2700 -2800# range. After that you have to make some real sacrifices in the streetability area.

- rear seat + seat belts - 10lbs
- rear deck shelf + speaker - 20lbs

Total weight 150lbs removed. That, along with a Rennsport chip, made the car snappier. But it is still no 50hp increase.
Curious? How much do stock power seats weigh? And how much more would you save with a set of Recaro/Sparco or gt3/gt2 type seats?

Thanks Steve,

The general questions always get innovative answers here

Let's assume budget is 7000$, what can be done? Car has 95000km on meter.

The stock power seat weight like 50lbs each!!!! However, this car is my daily driver and I really like the stock seat since it is very comfortable. Any suggestion on a replacement?

It seemed that aftermarket adjustable seats, after you add up the rails & mounting kits, would weight almost as much as the stock.
