I just got a PM from Mike...
He didn't want to let the cat out of the bag to everyone, but he told me via PM what he was replacing his awesome 3.6 Turbo with. And while I gave him my word I would keep it a secret, I just have to share this with you guys. The replacement is...
I think we can all agree that if we had finally found a car like this, we would do the same thing he is doing.

Ok, since you have no other bids on the car here from anyone, I'll take it for $50,000, a relative bargain seeing how old it is.
Seriously though, this is the only one I could find on cars.com
"1984 911 - $89,200 (obo)
43,850 930 Turbo, Certified RUF conversion, orig paint, 500 hp, excellent cond., EPA approved, CA smogged and registered, One of a kind, and fast fast fast. Owner's manual, shop manual, other print material. Two owners, always garaged, powder coated wheels, upgraded Alpine stereo, sun roof, power seats, a/c, power windows."
Interesting that he has the same car for sale but it's priced $16k more at $105k on the Dupont Registry. Then there's the (2) 1994 TT-S's at Sloans... one's $134,900 and one's $119,500. Ouch, too rich for my blood.
Good luck with the sale on your amazing car.
964 Turbo (1990–1993)
In 1990 Porsche introduced a Turbo version of the 964 series. This car is sometimes mistakenly called 965 (this type number actually referred to a stillborn project that would have been a hi-tech turbocharged car in the vein of the 959). For the 1991 and 1992 model years, Porsche produced the 964 Turbo with the 930's proven 3.3 L engine, improved to produce 320 PS (235 kW). 1993 brought the Carrera 2/4's 3.6 L engine, now in turbo-charged form and sending a staggering 360 PS (265 kW) to the rear wheels. With the 993 on the way, this car was produced through 1994 and remains rather rare.

Why the squawking? It seems obvious to me that the paint in this photo is not all of the same vintage. There is a distinct difference between the hood and driver's side fender.
That's all I have to say about that.

So you aren't going to tell us what the asking price is? Or are you just selling to the highest bidder?

Is it a prerequisite to lie about paint when selling a Porsche? I can't count how many times I've seen ads for pre-owned P-cars, with comments like, "original paint", "no paintwork", etc., etc., when the cars in question have obviously been touched up, re-sprayed, etc. This hits home with me as I found out that my 993 had some cosmetic paint work on the front - despite the fact that the seller claimed "no paintwork". A PPI, extensive photos, and my personal inspection once I arrived did not reveal anything odd. Months later, on an overcast day, I noticed subtle differences.
Sooooo, when are you going to re-spray the entire car??

Mike, your car has been on my mind all day. If only I had the.........GREEN! Sorry, someone was going to say it. Just curious, how many miles now? I remember it being VERY low miles when at RPM. Still no hints as to what might possibly replace such a beauty?

Hey Tim, It has just a hair over 23K miles and comes with all books, records, original window sticker, etc... Only aftermarket parts is a TechArt exhaust (which IMHO is better than stock). Near perferct condition inside and out. All I can about the replcement it will be air cooled
