Default Seattle area detail shop-matrix coating

I met the owner of a detail shop in Seattle called Metropolitan Detail when buying a early 911 tub for a car project. I saw the quality of the work done there and decided to bring my 993 and have them put on a matrix coating on the car. Now I am sure that the product is outstanding and will make anything look better , but it takes the skill of true artists to put together the show quality finish that these guys put on my car. I have alwqys been **** . The finish on my car now is flawless (I may never drive it again). I am so fortunate to have this car and have met John and Benjaman at Metropolitan Detail.
Check out this link .(pics dont even begin to do justis to ythis service)

I saw a car with this stuff applied after 6 months, it had quite a few swirl marks on it.

Then you have to upkeep it every year. IMHO, just do the standard wash & wax.

Metropolitan detail is specialist in polishing . My car never was scratched or ever had swirls. Still they polish the car and before they apply the coating make sure the finish is perfect. I think its all in the person doing the job .

Thank you for your kind words Colin. Hey Stealth, what car did you see it on? We put the Matrix coating on one of our black loaner cars two years ago, and it still looks new. Just curious if we did the installation?

Thanks,

John

Jason,

I saw no swirl marks on yours. But then my eyes aren't what they used to be.

Hey Jason,

It's been over a year since you've had your matrix coating installed. How do you like it now? Would you do it again (on another car)... assuming it's a one time application?

Thanks!

The Matrix coating is a film of ceramic nanoparticles that makes a molecular bond to the paint/clearcoat. It does not contain any silicone, and gives an incredible depth of gloss. It is considered permanent. The most incredible water bead that you have ever seen. Hey DFC4S, it was applied on a Boeing jet 8 years ago, and it's still there.

Yes, I'd definitely do it again. And, that was Colin Cantrell's car? Wow...he has good taste! That's for sure!
