All the major brand stations around here (Puyallup, WA) sell premium that is 92 octane. Don't know why they don't carry the 93. However, I found a Cenex that sells 94 octane premium. I was a little hesitant to try it at first, but have been running it in the car for about 2 months now with no problem. It really seems to like the 2 extra octane points.

I can only find 91 in northern California....
I think there are a few scattered places that sell more but it's pretty damn inconvenient

I think the ECU is smart enough to avoid the pinging with 91/92...but the car was actually designed to run on 93 (which we can't get in CA). OM specifies 93, so I mix in 3-4 gallons of 100 to bring it up. But the 100 is Exxxxxxpensive, I was paying $8.50/gal at Union 76, but just found VP Racing for $6.99, so I'm feeling a little better even though $7/gal is still F***ing expensive. But, then again this is the only car I've ever owned that I don't mind spending money on.

Oh jeez. I had assumed it was 91 or 92 (it was 91 on my 964) and I never bothered reading that big white sticker while filling up. How embarrassing, but worse, where the heck am I going to find 93 octane gas now? Maybe I can find some toluene booster.
