I collect oriental carpets- mostly Caucasian and Turkoman styles rather than the Persian carpets most people are familiar with.
I also am a pretty avid snowboarder. I generally get in 2 days of riding per week during the season plus 2 weeks holiday spent on the slopes.

Love Silverstar! Used to rip it up there as a youth. Also a big fan of Big White. Good friend of mine has a place there, and we always do a yearly thing up there. Super jealous of your ski hill access.

Yeah, Silver Star is a great family hill. I worked there as a volunteer patroller for 7 seasons so I know the hill really well. I stopped a couple of years ago when my kids got old enough to ski because I'd rather spend my time on the hill with them than working.
Big White also has a lot to offer. I used to spend a week there every year back when I lived in Vancouver. I still try to get up there for a weekend or two each season.
I have to say that Blackcomb remains my all time favourite though. I still do an annual guys only trip there every February.

Our other hobby has been working on our country home.

Had a lot of fun doing a weekend getaway renovation. It is special to get out of the city and get into the 993 away from the hassle of traffic.
