Default Help needed: With rear wings

Guys and Gals,

My car has been in the body shop since October and I'm getting fed up to put it nicely. The body shop has done a great job, but they have had a ton of problems sourcing the parts for my car. I had quite a few Techart goodies on the car. It looks as if I had a TechArt rear Aero 1B wing (integrated 3rd brake light). They have ordered several wings and they have all been wrong or the quality has been so bad they have returned the wings. Plus, TechArt doesn't make the wing anymore.

My question is where can I buy a Aero 1B wing w/ the 3rd brake light? Or am I SOL? Also, if I cannot buy a rear Aero 1B wing how hard will it be to install the required 3rd brake light into the roof of my 95 car? I called MA Shaw today and he has the Aero 1 wing in stock, but without the brake light.

Also, I've tried calling Porsche to order the part from their Tequipment 993 catalog, but they don't have anymore in stock.

Thanks, Patrick

Patrick,
I believe our old steeds are wired for the high-mount brake light. You can order the complete kit from Carnewal, or have Sunset compile the needed parts for less. You would need to have the light cover painted to match, but otherwise it's a pretty straightforward install.

Contact Martin Schat(sp) here on the 993 board as he has an aerokit one rear wing for sale. Its white in color.

You'll have to excuse my spelling of Martin's last name as I am on a blackberry at the moment.

Thanks Chris,

I saw that wing for sale, but it doesn't have the 3rd brake light incorporated. If all else fails I'm going to order the 5k wing from Gert....

Gert is a great guy, and his service is immpeccable, but with the exchange rate what it is, and before you drop that amount, check out the Gemballa wing. It has the third brakelight (which is actually the same as the light from the basket-handle), and is a reasonable option to the Aerokit 1B wing.

Hey, what happened to being able to rename a link?

Thanks guys. Got in touch w/ Gert and it looks like I'm going that route. 3030 Euros shipped and it didn't come w/ lube. It also comes w/ Aero front splitters that will be for sale shortly.
