So let me confirm what I heard here... I was going to order the Better Bodies ducts and have them sent directly to my paint guy. Do they require filling/sanding for fitment, or should I be able to get them painted and installed without issues?

I think to make them fit properly, you need to work them a little bit ie: sanding/filing. I would not have them painted until the fit has been checked to your car.
Ahem, back to the original discussion.... I used the "new & improved" ones and found that some of the extra material had to be filed down on the inner radius - it was bumping against some of the bumper structure and affected the fit/seating of the duct.
