Ok guys, one last time:
I've read all the hysteria about ZDDP, I get the fact that it's crucial. Mobil 1 15W-50 lists 1200 ppm phosphorous and 1300 ppm of zinc, which is just as much as several other "good" choices. What's all the fuss about, are we saying that they're lying? Why isn't this still a good choice of oil for our vehicles?

My opinion.
Mobil 1 may or may not be a good product.
Unfortunately for them, they lost all credibility with me several years ago when they changed formulations but did not document these changes on their web page.
In the hopes of greater transparency, I just looked at the Product Data sheet dated 9/2010 for the grade I would use on their web site (http://www.mobil.com/USA-English/Lub...l1_15W-50.aspx). It is interesting to note that they do not include Zn, P, TBN or detergent data (Ca/Mg). Again, why not provide this if it helps to make the sale. What are they hiding?
Where are you getting your data?
