I am the knucklehead that bought the Silver 993 Carrera. Probably paid too much but it is my first (last) and just like the one in the garage.

Congrats on the acquisition--nice to have a smaller version of your actual car! I thought that it might go at a low price since it didn't have the box, but when I saw it near the end, I was shocked.

Does anyone know if they (UT) made the 993tt in Guards Red? I already have the arena red, as well as about 15 other 993 or 911 UT models, but I was curious if they ever made one in Guards Red. I have never seen one, but that doesn't mean anything. If they didn't, did anyone else?

Nice thread, I love some of the cars, especially the racing versions, great stuff.

I was collecting the Vitesse cars back in the 80s. The company is gone, but I have 14 of the LeMans 956 glory era cars sealed up in a box I should open up one day. I saw them on Ebay a few years back with bids around 150.

I've got 17 bookmarks for diecast cars. Here are some of the sites with a lot of inventory. I just picked up the '82 Rothmans 1:18 956 - with decals - for $90. I'm going back to 1:43 because the 1:18 cars are just too much to store.
