Default ABS too sensitive?

I find that the ABS intervenes quite often on wet roads at very low speeds - like when I'm just coming to a stop. And I'm not braking very hard, either, just pretty normal breaking. It seems to me that it's just too sensitive. It's fine at higher speeds and in the dry. Is there a way to test the system? No ABS or other dash lights come on.

Related, perhaps, is this: I sometimes get a ticking sound in the stereo that is not related to engine speed, but to the car's speed, and is not being picked up by the radio. So it's not anything in the ignition system. Could I have a wheel speed sensor that has gone bad, causing the ABS problem?

Thanks.

Make sure your tire pressures are correct as well.

That seems odd to me Bruce. I drive in the rain all the time here in Portland & my ABS never comes on unless I really slam the brakes.

Tire pressure is good. I guess I need to have this checked out.

Thanks.
