Disposal of no-good alloy wheels?
I was cleaning the cellar the other day, and I realized I still have the set of useless Cup II wheels sitting in the corner. (backstory is here: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/337429-crap-wheels-have-axial-play-and-crack.html )
They could theoretically be straightened/repaired, but the cost would be close enough to what they're worth that it's not worth the hassle. Since every time I see them, it pisses me off all over again, I'd like to figure out something to do with them. Does aluminum have scrap value? Where would one take aluminum wheels?
Or maybe I should put them up for sale for very cheap (with disclosure of course) and see if someone either has low standards or wants to go to the trouble.

look in the phone book for scrap metal dealers. They do buy aluminum. I took a old aluminum porch cover down and sold it to a scrap yard for more then I bought it for new 20 years ago
