early 95 993, round diagnostic plug.... yes very early 95 vin 993's had the round plug. Had airbag communication problems come up using hammer, we replaced the control unit, and the problem still exists. Found out when you replace the control unit, that it is only servicable with the PST2 scanner. Took it to dealer to have it locked and scanned, they said they couldnt clear anything or lock it due to 2 codes, 46 and 49 belt buckle codes. Need help ASAP, light wont go out, etc. Please help

Since you know what those codes are, is it safe to assume that you have checked the seat harnesses?
