Actually, the 4.2 motor is more reliable than the one in your 360.
This motor is the basis of the one in the F430

The new chain drive cam system does not require any service.

The 6 M/T transmission is reliable, and the 4.2 V8 does not suffer from RMS seal leaks.

I almost convinced my dad to buy one of these (MY04). In retrospect, I am relieved I didn't succeed...

Beautiful cars but many decades behind Porsche in reliability yet (unfortunatlely) trying to keep up with technology. I like to admire from afar.

Reliability of a Porsche?

I did a search on "Engine Damage" and got 11 pages worth of results.

If anything, Porsche should learn from Maserati about making a reliable car.

Interesting, Fred2. Checking the prior threads you have started, I'm surprised you are still hanging around. Most of us consider these cars all but bulletproof.

I have an '07 US spec auto QP. Great car, took it on a 2500 mile round trip the week I bought it. No problems, good warranty. Only complaints: smallish trunk, and not as many gizmos as you might find in other cars in this range (ex, bluetooth). Second Mas we've owned, have loved both.

Thus demonstrating you know as much about using a search engine than about Porkers.

Have a nice day !
