Thanks all.

I drove the E46 M3 yesterday. Its quick, fast, actually smaller inside than the 993, and missing what I can only describe as the visceral connection between driver, car, and road that you get with a 993.

The 528 will be going up for sale.

It's going to be 50 here today and most of the snow is gone. I think I'm going to fire up the 993 and take her for a spin today. Looking to close the books on this twisted thought process and move on mentally.

Thanks again guys.

I'm also driving a '00 528iT with sport package and 18" wheels with 83k on it.

I'm considering 1 of 2 options.

1 - sell the 528 to fund the clutch/suspension on the 993. Make the 993 the daily driver, and put the rest of the cash in the bank.

or

2 - sell them both and buy a '05 M3 coupe or convertible

Have any of you owned both vehicles, and could provide some experiences/thoughts?

I do realize this a 993 board, and can imagine some of the responses.

I appreciate your thoughts.

4 - sell the 528 to fund the clutch/suspension on the 993. Buy a $500 Vovo for a daily driver, and put the rest of the cash in the bank. When the Volvo breaks, sell it for $200 and buy another.

there will always be another 993 out there. Id see if I could find a friend with an E46 M3 that I could drive for 2 days or so.

I liked the E46 M3 coupe (and I loved to death the 95 M3 I had), but it really depends on what you would prefer.

The 993 is a great car, but its about 10 years old now, so you will run into problems, and as stated there are newer/nicer/plusher options that you may prefer.

drive both and see.
