Lowering my car by changing just the spring
Hello All:
I got the car about a month ago from our rennlister and the car has the oringinal struct. The ride height is high and I want to lower the ride height by an inch or so. The car comes with 18 inches OEM rims taking off from the 996 (front is 225, and the rear is 285)
I would like to know that if I decide to change just the spring and drop the car by an inch, would the wheel rub the liner or the body of the car? Thanks in advance!

Three Wheelin'
Probably not if they are from a 996 NB to your 993 NB (or WB -> WB).
I lowered mine right after I got it with just a spring change too, but I wish that I had waited and done the shocks at the same time. You may think that you are saving money, but consider that your shocks are most likely already worn out, and in the end you will end up doing (or paying for) 2x the labor and 2x for alignment. My advice is to do it right the first time.

+1 to everything Jeff said regarding suspension. No point paying to have it done wrong.
You'll need to provide offsets on the wheels and what model vehicle you have before anyone could advise on the rubbing issue.
