Default Group buy: Front Protection Bar (FPB)

I figure since all of you are getting new suspension with lowered ride heights, a FPB would be a good idea.

I havent contacted GERT yet, but I am sure that if we had 10 interested parties, he would "play ball".

For details visit: http://www.carnewal-europe.com/main.htm suspension/p93/fpb

The regular price is: 165E (or $240USD) to the US (shipping included)
Who's In:

1) Me
2) cytefx (UK)
3) goofballdeluxe
4) aperalts ( 993TT)
5) marret

Maybes:
Patrick (waiting for a 993)
Charlie (price)
rome ?
HyphenF15 (price)

express your interest in this thread and I will contact Gert once I have atleast 5 interested parties.

sam

Hey Sam. I am getting my PSS10's installed soon and will need a FPB, so count me in. I live in Los Angeles, if that matters. Philip

if on the ebay advert there are only 4 left, how come you have 14 available to buy, on the other side, i think I have read that Gerts are better put together than these found on ebay, I would prefer the one from Gert, and would not buy this other version.

Will these fit on 993tt. If so, count me in!

They do fit on 993TTs. I'll be in depending on the final price.

I'm sure the Carnewal one is very nice, but it's a bar with some plates welded to it. If the welds are decent and the holes line up I can't imagine it's an inferior product. Gert just did all the R&D and marketing only to have it swiped away.

I have the Gert's bar on my 993 (see pic) which is at Euro RS height, and it definitely does the job. It is a heavy stainless bar, and it fits perfectly. Even if it does cost more than the knockoff, I'd go for the real thing. Not to mention that Carnewal's service is second to none!

I put one on my lowered 964 and its been fine. Its a piece of metal that gets scraped up! I dont know how much R&D goes into a metal bar with a couple welded on mounting plates but I would bet it wouldnt be much over 1/2 hour If he has a patent on it maybe he should go after these guy. They have been selling them for quite a while.
