From what everyone who has replaced and filled in the bumperettes on this forum have reported, the price quoted seems excessive.
It is not because we own an expensive car that we should be raked over the coals. I think that taking the position that we should pay just because it is an expensive car is "silly" at best. A second opinion is warranted and recommended.
I built a project on the lake in central fl and contractors prices would go up as soon as they knew the zip code. Should I have paid more because my land was rare? Nope. Don't think so.

These cars do cost more to maintain/repair but clearly this quote is out of the norm. THAT is the point.

the problem is that it appears that the shop is using a flat rate boot quote of $1100 to recondition the bumper and this same fee applies for everything from one little scratch to ripped all to hell. Tell the shop owner to sharpen his/her pencil on that item or the biz goes elsewhere.

Tell them that this is being paid by you directly and not by your insurance. If they don't work out a deal with you, take your business somewhere else.

I just spoke to a top-notch body shop in Sacramento and the owner checked the flat rate suggested times for this job; 4.3hrs to R&R front bumper cover. 2.2hrs to refinish. At $100/hr thats $650 plus parts, paint, etc. Depending on the damage to be repaired/or if you replace the bumper($1619.17 for turbo bumper at dealer) The $2040 estimate may be completely reasonable.
Again, I think if this is a reputable shop, you get what you pay for.

IIRC, there are ways around this and many have done the conversion so I suspect it isn't that big of a deal.

The bumper has a scuff on it, and repairing that scuff is not the slightest bit different than repairing the same damage on a Honda Civic.
Shop managers might get dollar signs in their eyes when a Porsche rolls up, but only an idiot would let himself get charged such a gratuitous Porsche Tax. As someone said above, the body shop manager was quoting a flat rate. There's no reason the customer needs to agree to that.

You're being whacked. I recently paid $$55/hr labor and $25/hr paint labor on similar bumper damage. The whole thing, including the bumper recondition must have been no more than 10 hours. Reinforced, restored, and paint blended perfectly at way less than half the cost quoted to you in a Metro NY shop. And they threw in a couple dentless ding repairs for that price. Just my 2 cents.

I'm in the process of replacing my front bumper cover right now due to someone backing into me, so I have some current info.
1: A replacement bumper cover can be bought from Sunset for $1100.
2: A euro turbo bumper requires a total of $112.00 in different parts to fit. It's a couple of clips, some screws, a little spoiler lip, and the grill.
3: The euro turbo bumper is $1167 from Sunset.
4: The Euro turbo bumper is not available right now at any price from anybody. I have looked here and in europe for weeks. With the help of a Rennlister, I purchased one on the German Ebay. Even Gert has no idea when they are going to be available. "backorder from factory"
FWIW, I agree that $2K is a ripoff. He wants to recondition your bumper for $1100 when you can get a brand new one for that?

Euro bumper needs a couple of $2 brackets made from a bit of sheet to attach bottom corners as they stick out more than the normal nose. You can re-use the wheel liners or if you fell flush get new turbo ones.

If I am seeing the damage correctly, a tear in the cover, that can be repaired with a product called Duramix 4058. ~$30 a tube. I have fixed covers torn almost in half with it. PM me if you need more info.
