Hello fellow rennlisters Happy Holidays and a save and prosperous new year 2008.
Could anyone suggest a good web forum for mini coopers (similar to ours)? My wife wants one and I have no clue which one to get???I would asume the Mini copper S are more fun to drive than the basic models? I can just imagine a LPMM mod on it
Tks

I do not know a forum but my brother in law had an S when they came out in Germany and this car was a lot of fun. If your wife is not a "speedy" driver the regular engine should have enough juice.

Here you go:

Wouldn't buy anything that wasn't an S or better (like a JCW!!!!).... but then I like to go fast......
Also we prefer the pre 2007 model. Robert just test drove a 2008 a week ago and seriously considered trading our 2006 for it, but he just could not get past the sloppy suspension. It just not tight and doesn't take the turns like the earlier one do. We just LOVE our 2006. It is an enthuiasts car. They newer one is more for the masses. That being said, with some suspension work ($$$), a 2007/ 2008 could be an awesome car.
