ISV Question
This is a x-post from the 993 Turbo forum, but this gets more traffic so I thought it was worth posting here. Yes, the ISV setup is different on the turbo.
Hi all,
Well, I basically wrenched on the car for the very first time tonight! I removed the intercooler and plan on cleaning it out (it has some oil in it from an overfill). I have a bit of a laundry list of small things to do, including cleaning out the ISV; however, I'm having some trouble removing the u-shaped hose that is attached to it. Attached is a pic of the clamp. It seems that there is no way to remove it without bending back one side and essentially breaking it. Am I missing something?
Oh, and a quickie - is that T in the background where a mechanical boost gauge can be attached?

On the NA 993's the ISV is held in by a standard band clamp. I would recommend cutting these clamps and then using band clamps when re-installing.
I have not worked on a Turbo so I have not had to do this.
