Default Finally moved into "new" house and the promised 993 pics in garage :o)

What a harrowing 4 weeks, but we're in, and 10 days after moving we have now unpacked and put away the final box of stuff. It turned out to be too cold to epoxy the garage floor and paint the walls so those pics will have to wait till the spring. I'm kind of bummed about the lack of painting and floor refinishing in the garage, but what can you do - it's freezing cold out!

The unfinished detached garage in back of the house

Pics before putting up Porsche posters...

The unfinished floor

The daily driver had to stay out in the parking lot behind our house

Zero lot lines... no more yard maintenance

As long as the bike doesn't fall off it's hook put up by the previous owner, all is well

The previous owner of the house left us with an entire garage of Ikea shelving units, so we left some in the garage, put some in the basement storage area and tossed the rest. It was intense to see the garbage truck crush whole storage units with a press of the button.

The posters will look alot better when the garage is painted Dove White this spring and yes, we'll paint over this ugly electrical box

Unpainted garages are pretty ugly

This poster is so true...

Always liked this one

Front of house

Hmm, where do I go?

We have ALOT of stuff to return! You buy so many things thinking they'll look right in your home, but they rarely do...

I know at least 1 lady that's happy to not have to unpack anymore boxes

I'm report back in the spring after the painting and floor is done.

Very nice!

Very nice Steve! Congrats on completing the housing transition. Looks like a great garage to set up. Enjoy the holidays now that you are unpacked.

Thanks guys. The garage looked to be the same size as our old garage, till we parked the cars in there and realized it's bigger by a few precious inches in all directions. A few extra inches is highly underrated when it comes to getting into and out of your car in a tight space. At first I thought we'd trash the Ikea shelving they'd left us, but it's come in handy for storing car cleaning supplies. Just got my first order today from Griot's garage and the stuff looks awesome. Can't wait to use the new tire dressing, liquid car wash, the microfiber cleaning mitts and the microfiber cleaning towels. Never used anything but cotton towels before so I was curious to see what the difference would be.

Same with the house... the rooms looked about the same size as our old house till we moved in our possessions and the 9 ft ceilings (compared to our old 8 ft ceilings) dramatically makes everything in them look smaller. It's weird living so close to our neighbors, but we've also met a ton of them and they're all very friendly. It's cool getting invited to their parties and gatherings after only having been here for less than a month now. We never had this in our old location where people live much furthur from each other. Not one person has commented on the 993 yet. Most everyone in this area drives a 4WD and a Honda Accord , not that there's anything wrong with that.

Nice Steve! Santa just delivered the Kills Bugs fast poster so I can join the club. Did you ever purchase the trickle charger?

Isn't this what ferry tales are made off? A white picket fence and a Porsche in the garage?
Congrats Steve!

Best of luck for you and your family Steve! I like interesting houses and this one has some neat features, enjoy it especially after the "special" effort it took before you moved in.

Cheers,

MIke
