I dont know what you race drivers think (Mark?) but I think the 993 was not driven well, incorrect lines, missed apexes, braking tooooooo early ....etc.....I am not a racer but my son was and having watched over the years I think the 993 was nowhere near its potential.....hence the battle with the mini.....and yes before I get flamed, I know some of the minis are very good.....

David, those are some pretty strong comments...... BTW, that's me.....

No, it's not a turbo and that's not your average Mini.

I posted it here a couple of years ago, if you do a search, I bet you find it (along with all the comments).

+1 That's not a turbo's spoiler. Way too narrow and shaped differently. Doesn't look like a wide body, either.

The Minis are banned at Texas World Speedway Porsche DEs because there was an incident where a Mini rolled and one of the doors popped open. This it at least what one of the senior instructors told me last weekend. However, this is only for Porsche DEs. I was at an DE with TWS club last weekend and there was a Mini in the yellow run group.

That was a BMW event, they never get enought cars so they let pcars in. Plus, I know all the guys. BTW, the Mini is a BMW.....

Boy, that's rehashing an old one. But it sure was fun.
