Default WTB: Plastic seat hinge covers (and seat question....)

Both passenger seat plastic hinge covers have broken off, and unfortunately 11 year old plastic doesn't just snap, it sort of crumbles. So I couldn't just put it back together.

I'm looking for a right and left cover, pictures attached to explain.

I noticed the seat part is a 928 part, and can't find a parts diagram for the leather seats for a 1996 911 to reference it. Pelican doesn't have a seat diagram for the 993.
Any thoughts?

If anyone has a spare, or can reference the part number, that would be great.

Part #: 928.521.148.02

When I look at parts providers, there are few extra digits at the end that I don't see on my part. What do they mean?
(e.g. OEM-928521148026ZF, OEM-928521148024XC). I think the "true" reference is" 928-521-148-02-01C-OEM, but I still don't know what the "01C" means. I figure something must have to do with "right" and "left"

Thanks!

The correct part numbers are the ones that you see "inside" the covers, Porsche does a good job at marking all their parts with numbers.

The PET has a special section for the seat parts.

01c is the color of the part (01C is black).

OEM is not a part of Porsches part number, its something Pelican adds.

These are the part numbers for a 96 993 non sport seats.
(The part for the right side typically has a higher part number than the part for the left side )
928 521 147 02 01C = Left
928 521 148 02 01C = right

BTW, just changed all four covers on my car

The left side cover of my passenger seat went a week ago. I was surprised, as I rarely carry a passenger. Age ...

I ordered them from Sunset. The left was $17.44 and the right was $16.62 plus 15% handling.

Everybody has this problem, some don't notice.

I also broke a brand new cover by overtightening during the install.

For those of havent broken yet. I used Plastic Epoxy to reinforce the areas of high stress on the hinge covers.

They quoted me $30-something each, no charge for shipping.

I didn't clarify, but could that price be for new, vs. yours used?

If you buy used, they may be the same age as yours and therefore ready to crack. Or, the new ones may have sat in Porsche's parts inventory 10 years and also ready to crack.

I don't believe Sunset sells used parts. They're a dealer. Did you ask for the Excellence/RL discount? Maybe the difference is just inflation or exchange rate?

I bought mine in June of 2003. The dollar may have been a bit stronger then.
